2005 NCAA Don't forget em!

UCONN: The Huskies were rated way to high at the beginning of the year, but don't think for a second that they don't have the talent. If anything, the early disappointment has the young pups in Connecticut finally realizing how they need to play to be a top team. A 7-point loss to Carolina looks a lot better when you consider they were without their top scorer Rashad Anderson. Do I think he would have made the difference? Who knows? What I do know is UCONN can flat out compete with any team in the country. The Huskies also house 5 double-digit scoring options. If Charlie Villanueva plays like he can, the Huskies will be making plenty of noise deep into March.

Duke: How can you forget Duke? They're like this Blue little Devil sitting on your favorite teams shoulder, but instead of getting them to do bad things; they just kick the crap out of them. I've got to admit, Duke is a Dynasty. The Patriots can't hold a candle to the Dukies. There's not a more dedicated program in college or pro sports. From coach (Coach K) to players (Williams, Ewing, Redick) to fans, Duke always has a shot at #1. Unfortunately, lately, with the exception of the 1-point win against NC, the Dukies have played poor enough to forget. They're hoping they forget anyway. The latest loss, a defeat at the hands of Virginia Tech, was the latest stumble to the 3-4 record they have since they started 15-0. And Wake Forest comes to Durham this weekend. But don't forget the Devils. They'll make you pay come March, or any other time for that matter.
